My name is Jennifer Rowe and I'll be your blogmistress today.  As a No-Name Blogger using her real name (http://kateharding.net/2007/04/14/on-being-a-no-name-blogger-using-her-real-name/) I nevertheless worry about "(b)eing viciously, persistently attacked for the crime of Writing While Female . . . something practically everyone with an opinion on the matter regards as par for the course–regardless of whether they believe that fact is outrageous and deplorable or merely, you know, the way the cookie crumbles."  I could use a pseudonym; however, using a fake-name would partially defeat the purpose of writing about fat acceptance and health at every size as a 'small-fat' woman, a woman of actual average size who has believed her whole life she was fatty mcfaterson, ugly and deserved all the teasing and bullying she got.  So my real name it is, with the promise that those closest to me will remain unnamed, and that nothing written here will be a dark-mark against me in the future.

In the meantime, a little bit about me, in no particular order; I'm an aspiring teacher student again!, proud Canadian, loving mom and caring wife.  The man in the photo is indeed my husband and together we have a beautiful little boy.  Gardening, reading, following the Fatosphere and Shakesville, as well as various online comics, and running after our little guy keeps me pretty busy.  In May '09 I graduated from my local university with a B.A in English which I intended to follow up with a B.A in Education but that, I discovered, was not for me, so I renrolled back in my local university and am taking courses in community economic and social development.
